The 2010 Season Begins

Well, this is my first post in the new blog for Three Sisters Farm.  And what better day to start than the first day of our 2010 u-pick daffodil season.  We had about 75 people come to the farm today to pick flowers.  It was kind of overcast, but the fields are beautiful ... solid yellow!  We'll be open for picking again tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday.  It will be sunny and in the upper 60's so it should be a great weekend.  We love to see folks enjoying the outdoors and the beautiful flowers.  Go to our web site if you want to get on our e-mail notification list for the u-picks that will be scheduled for the remainder of this season.

I hope to update this blog frequently to give you some insights into the day-to-day of operating an organic farm.  Right now I have to go close up the chicken coop.  We have some murderous racoons!

  1. I was out and picked 50 gorgeous daffodils today. It is always a wonderful way to start spring. I used to grow hundreds in my gardens up north but just can't seem to get them going down here in Hilton Head Island. Thank you for growing the wondeful fields of the brilliant beauties!!

  2. We took our 3 yr old son out today to pick flowers and he had a wonderful time. It was a great way to spend the afternoon as a family. Thank you for sharing your beautiful farm with us.
